"Combating Gender-Based Violence in the South Caucasus" is a regional, multi-pronged, 3-year initiative contributing to the national response to gender based violence in three South Caucasus countries: Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan. As many women are unaware of their rights, men are unaware of women"s rights and young people have limited information on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and its consequences for individuals and society, the "Combating Gender-Based Violence in the South Caucasus" project is launching the “Target Group Education”.
Within the framework of Target Group Education 180 educators have been trained by ICCN on gender, gender equality, gender-based and domestic violence issues. As it was envisaged in 2009 and 2010, the Project Activity has been complemented and expanded by the larger-scale informational meetings, where trained educators will spread the information to broader audiences (approx. 4,000).
