Report on Training in Communication and Conflict ManagementTrainings were planed within the “Young Facilitators of the Future” project and funded by EU /COBERM and administered by the UNDP.

Training of Trainers for young facilitators and process managers is the follow-up of the EU (Instrument of Stability) funded project “Engagement through Dialogue”. The team and organizations of this project are identical to the implementers of the “Engagement Through Dialogue” project. The goal of this project is to train and empower young professionals to facilitate and dialogue and meetings across the conflict divide in a sustainable way.

6 Days Training was planed in Tbilisi, February 25-27 and March 4-6, 2011. First part (Communication) was organized and run at ICCN. Participants were the young professionals, those who went through Georgian-Abkhaz-Ossetian dialogue processes (Kosovo and Moldova).

Trainers were Tinatin Asatiani and Manana Kandelaki.

Training was planed within the “Young Facilitators of the Future” project and funded by COBERM/UNDP.

6 Days Training was planed in Batumi, March 28 – April 1, 2011. Participants were the young professionals from the regions (Batumi, Kutaisi, Gori, Poti, Zugdidi, Kvemo Kartli), those who went through Georgian-Abkhaz-Ossetian dialogue processes (Kosovo and Moldova).

Trainers were Tinatin Asatiani and Manana Kandelaki.

Feedback

Trainees were very motivated and active. They participated eagerly and at the same time identified their strengths and weaknesses a lot. Sometimes they expressed rigidity during the exercises and hardly perceived new approaches. Some of them mentioned that they participated in this kind of social-psychological training for the first time.

They underlined that the training was interesting and helpful.
