Workshop in Peace Journalism, 15-16 July
On 15-16 of July International Center on Conflict and Negotiation (ICCN) a partner of GPPAC in the South Caucasus region conducted a workshop/seminar in peace journalism.
The meeting brought together the members of the already existed South Caucasus regional network of journalists within who work on conflicts and peacebuilding problematic.
An exclusive workshop program elaborated by ICCN specialists made the meeting very special that was mentioned by participants themselves. The participants had an opportunity to discuss the comparison between traditional journalism and peace journalism tools as well as reveal the techniques they use while performing their work.
The journalists also had an opportunity to see and consider the documentary film on Georgian-Abkhaz conflict within the format of peace journalism. The discussion over the film was intense and full of emotions; participants brought different comments and assessments.
The participants also shared their professional experience and expressed their interest to improve their skills in the field of peace journalism.
