First OSCE Women Peace Leadership Programme - Closing Ceremony

The 1^st edition of the Program, that run between October 2022 and September 2023, benefitted 12 young peacebuilders. During the one-year program the participants engaged in high-level and peer-to-peer mentorship with 10 internationally renowned women leaders and mediators and have received extensive capacity-building to enhance their leadership and communication skills.

The closing event of the 1^st Edition, took place in Vienna on 9 October under the auspices of H.E Helga Maria Schmid, OSCE Secretary-General. The event brought together mentors and participants who benefitted from the Program. Under the title ‘Supporting Women Leadership in Peace and Security: The OSCE’s role”, the event offered the opportunity to engage with the participants of the programme and discuss experiences, challenges and opportunities for women peace leaders across OSCE region.
