Director of ICCN Dr. George Khutsishvili participated as the Caucasus Regional Coordinator of the Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict (GPPAC) in the ISG events in Mindanao, the Philippines, where the meetings were held with government representatives, as well the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) leaders, tribal chiefs (Datus) and indigenous peoples' (IP) leaders in Manila, Davao, Cotabato, Bukidnon and Compostela Valley.
The local host orgasnisation was the Initiatives for International Dialogue (IID) who serves as a Regional Coordinator for GPPAC. A joint statement was adopted by the peacebuilders group towards the ways for achieving lasting peace in Mindanao.
