ICCN Director Dr George Khutsishvili participated in a voyage organised by the Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict (GPPAC). Participants in the voyage included representatives of ECCP, members of regional coordinating agencies of GPPAC, the Peace Boat (a unique Japanese peacebuilding NGO actually located on a ship - SS Oceanic - and performing round-the-world-trips to promote the culture of peace).
The activities carried out from August 30 through September 5 included: visiting the Centre for the Support of Agent Orange (dioxin) Victims (VAVA) in Da Nang, Vietnam; joint peace action of VAVA and the Hibakusha project of the survivors of atomic explosions in Hiroshima and Nagasaki supported by the Peace Boat; training for the media focal points of GPPAC and introduction of the Peace Portal Pilot; press-conference in Singapore on the results of the voyage.
